WoW: Operation Mechagon – Dungeon with hardmode similar to Ulduar

WoW (buy now 14,99 EUR ), Patch 8.2 will be available on live servers. This will bring a new addition to the dungeon challenge genre: Operation: Mechagon, which has eight bosses. WoW fans have already tested the dungeon on the public server and discovered something exciting: An optional hard mode can also be activated for at least one boss. This makes the fight significantly more difficult.

The hard mode cannot be activated via a keystone or menu. The only way to activate the hard mode is to activate it with your actions within the dungeon. This is similar to the WotLK raid Ulduar. We have summarized all information (via Wowhead) in the following.

Players have so far discovered a Hardmode for one boss in Operation: Mechagon: HK-8 Airborne Oppression Unit is fourth Encounter of the mega dungeon.

How can you activate the HK-8 Aerial Opression Unit Hardmode

Boss 4's Hardmode can be activated by taking out the first three bosses. The Aerial Oppression unit hovers above your head and is constantly patrolling the air. The flying unit will appear on the dungeon maps. First, take out the boss it is hovering over and then it will fly to the next boss. For boss #3, repeat the process.

This strategy is challenging because the Aerial Oppression unit doesn't just sit by and watch you take down trash and bosses. The unit summons Walkie Shockie X1s to chase players, protect them, and create dangerous electric fields on the ground.

What are the changes in the HK-8 Aerial Oppression Unit's Hard Mode?

Here's how to get boss #4 if you have knocked down the previous three bosses correctly:

  • The Tank Buster MK1 variant will no longer be your opponent. Instead, you'll be dealing with the more powerful Tank Buster MK2 version. It has more health and does more damage. Phase 1 also features the Tank Buster MK2 variant. The debuff Anti-Trespassing Field is also given to the party healer. This field follows the healer, and the entire party must remain within the field. The group will be teleported back to the center of this area if a member leaves the field. If you are caught by the Sentry Bots or Sentry Beams, the same happens.

Are there any other hardmodes in Operation: Mechagon as well?

Although no other hardmodes are known, some players believe there may be more secrets to Operation: Mechagon. First, there was no reward for mastering this hardmode.
